Today was a good day. We got our DL's renewed, which took surprisingly little time (< 20 mins., license in hand). We decided to have some lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, we've only been once(well twice for him I believe) in the 5+ years we've lived here, and now that we may have to move, it was fun to go back once more. If we really do find out we're leaving, I'm sure there will be a lot more of those type of outings.
Dinner was beyond words. Ribeye steaks on the grill (hickory chips added). Corn on the cob, baked potato. I don't think I've ever had a better steak. I also marinated some chicken breasts in yogurt, garlic and spices (turmeric, cumin, salt, chipolte, & coriander), and grilled those for lunch this week. I'm now thinking of making some pasta with one.
Watched Master & Commander last night (I think that was the title). It was pretty good. Tonight, Osama & the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Osama was sad & depressing, but good to watch. I was really surprised with Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Being a fan of the first, I thought a re-make was a bad idea, but after watching, I think they did a good job of creating an atmosphere as creepy, if not more creepy than the first. Ed Gein was the inspiration behind this film, as well as Pyscho. The true story is quite different, but still quite horrific. I think there is some solace in the fact that it wasn't an entire town/family carrying on these acts.
