Happy Anniversary

Our wedding anniversary was today. Two years. Seems like longer, but considering how long we've actually been together, that makes sense.

I sprayed the carpets/furniture with something to kill the flea larvae today (praying that works), and we are combing out the cats nightly. Not finding many, but even 1 is too much for me.

I spent most of the day raking leaves and picking out stones. The soil is full of stones. Soil is a kind word - I really mean clay. I'm currently throwing all the stones in this little drainage setup which _was_ filled with garbage. The stones are good for that - not too big, but I kinda wish if we had to have stones, they'd be big enough for cobblestone paths or stone borders. They are not. With the soil being what it is - I think I should get a potter's wheel and a kiln :) Lemons and lemonade, you know.

We got a lawn mower today - A neat Toro, but we need to get some gas for it, so I'll probably get to mow the lawn Saturday. It's a push mower, and with the actual amount to mow, that's enough. With the hilliness, we think a rider would probably be a bad idea at this time. Interestingly enough, the greatest patch of grass has sprung up - right under the bird-feeder. Pretty cool, I'm really looking forward to the smell of freshly mown grass in the morning. Last weekend I made some pretty good lemonade (well, lemons & limes) - I think I'll need to do that again this weekend.

Mostly I'm dealing with the fleas. Everything that gets touched by the cats (even when washed a day ago), I feel I need to wash again. The washer/dryer have been running non-stop since this started. It feels like a never-ending battle, and an especially bad one, because I know it makes the cats uncomfortable. I know I'm taking it too hard, but that's the way I am.

Bug of the Day link below - hope I haven't already posted this one. I saw a pretty cool frog today, wish I had grabbed a picture.
