If you read Marc's blog, you know that we now have a linen closet! I stocked up on body wash today & got a little thrill putting it away. It's amazing what a difference these things can make. In its previous life, this closet was a joke. It was supposed to be a coat closet, but the bar was positioned so poorly that you had to hang everything tilted so you could close the door. Of course in June I heard a loud crash and found that even this closets rail & shelf "jumped" off the wall. The walls themselves were also a disaster - you could see so much drywall tape, and portions of the closet appeared not to be primered or painted at all.
Dinner was another non-meat success, Spicy Two-Bean Vegetarian Chili. It turned out really good, & included Bulgur, which I really liked.
This morning I went to my first La Leche League meeting. It was really nice to get out and talk to people first-hand about their experiences. There are five different meetings in the area (all at least a half hour away from me), so I'm trying to attend each meeting once to decide which ones I like best and want to attend regularly. I really liked that this meeting wasn't overly structured and there was a lot of opportunity to talk about whatever topics we were interested in. We definitely touched on more than just breast-feeding. I also think having a place to go to "get out of the house" where children are welcome will be a big plus too.
