2 days ago his umbilical stump fell off. What remains, of course, is the cutest belly button in the world.
Today it's been 3 weeks since Liam was born. He changes everyday and couldn't be more fantastic. 3 weeks also means 3 weeks recovery for me. I am now allowed to do chores again - laundry, vacuuming, so on and so forth. What I'd really like to do is mow the lawn on a nice sunny day. Somehow I don't think I'll have a chance till next year :)
Yesterday I drove for the first time since to operation. All went well except for the reason for going out. We needed to go to get blood taken because one of the tests taken before the hospital didn't turn out quite right. We ended up waiting an hour to get in and then they had an impossible time trying to get blood out of him. They tried both arms and both heels. They eventually got what they needed, but it was heart-wrenching to hear him screaming/crying for so long. On the bright side, they called with the test results today and they came back normal.
