This is what Liam does. He watches everything, and then later will show us a glimpse of how much he knows and understands. I guess with him being our first, all of this is so amazing. I find myself surprised at the stuff he does, and it is normal human development.
Examples:
Tonight I made Mac & Cheese. When I tore open the cheese packet I dropped the top of the packet on the floor. When L later cam into the kitchen, he picked it up and put it in the trash can (which is usually behind a baby gate).
Earlier this week we gave him a napkin. (It never really occurred to me before, since we clean him up). He knows how to use it.
We've been reading this I Love You book for some time. It's has 5 different stories in it. We really don't do much on the quizzing his knowledge (Well, I try not to - unless I think it'll be a game he enjoys). So we read this story, and it talks about all the things we love about the child. L is now grabbing his toes when we get to toes. He also points out his ears, nose, hair & eyes, when we get to those in the story.
