We didn't do the "traditional" dinner for Easter. Instead I made a veggie lasagna which was very good, but took lots of prep work. I also made deviled eggs and a coconut cream pie. Next year I'll make the pie the night before. I felt like I was in the kitchen on my feet all day long.
The highlight of the day was Liam hunting for Easter eggs. We didn't know how "into" it he'd be, but it turned out great. He easily spotted eggs and it took me back to being a kid, and how exciting it was to see that bright color peeking out from under a chair or other ordinary object. L did have a hard time giving the eggs up so he got to play with them a bit.
We did not do a basket this year, but I did get a felt gift bag (he loves to carry stuff around) and put a new book in it for him.
Liam has gone from slinging babies to playing with cars. He likes to roll them on all sorts of surfaces, including his Papa's head.
