Ramblings

I'm sorry to say I haven't added any new pictures, but I've have been adding old pictures.

So the other night we were getting ready to eat dinner and I had it running through my head "Need a knife, need a knife, etc", so cut Liam's fruit & pizza up. I'm also talking to Marc and getting water glasses. Liam walks over to the silverware drawer and starts grabbing a knife. Weird? I guess it is possible I said, "I need a knife" out loud, but I didn't think so.

On the EC front - Liam has been out of diapers at night for some 2 or 3 weeks (I've stopped counting). We've had only one missed pee so far. Of course now that I've said this, we'll have more :) This is ok, and I plan on keeping him diaper free at night. The more I think about it, the more I think he's got to be more comfortable without the bulk between his legs.
Today we had a big step forward on his letting me know he needed to go. He let me know 3 times, and actually went twice. This is a big improvement from the usual - all my catches are me anticipating when he'll need to go (We had another 3 catches this way).
So far EC hasn't worked how I expected. Well, it did until crawling, solid foods & walking entered the picture. Sometimes I wonder why nights have been so great overall and days have grown so difficult. Often, L will fight even getting on the potty. I won't force him. For awhile holding him in the shower worked, but he started fighting that also. I guess I'll have a theory after he's completely out of diapers. Then the next child will come along and change that theory by being completely different.

Liam is all about trucks right now. In any book we read, if it has a truck, that is what we point out. There is a family picture from Christmas - everyone on the couch. We were looking at it today and Liam pointed out the small section of truck you can see out the window in the driveway.

Reverse Osmosis - We should have gotten this a long time ago. First, the water is fantastic. I hadn't heard very good things about r/o water, but this is better than the bottled stuff, in my opinion. I'm guessing it has to do with the fourth "polishing" filter. Second, cooking water & coffee water. Those took such a dent from the bottled, it's a big relief to know I'm not going to run out of water. Lastly, we have ice cubes! It's so weird, we haven't had ice cubes more than a few times (yea, call me too lazy to fill up trays), and now the freezer is making them! It'll take sometime to get used to, in fact, we've only used them once since we got the r/o. That is because I keep forgetting we have them.
