One thing I love about this area is the large number of parks that have equipment I can enjoy with Liam. A fairly close park just installed all new equipment, which we checked out yesterday. It has a couple of very fast slides and tons of great climbing surfaces, including the "rock wall" climb.
Any uncertainty regarding whether Liam was obsessed with trucks was laid to rest this weekend when happened to be in Target. L found 2 gigantic plastic trucks along with an even bigger chair shaped like a dump truck. He kept sitting in the chair and then going back around to check out the front. When he saw his Pappa he could only point out the truck and say (what sounds like) "This! This!" over and over. Let me tell you, we had a very difficult time getting him out of that aisle. We did break down and get him one of the gigantic (plastic) dump trucks, the kind intended for outdoor play. All was well until we went to put L into the car seat. He was miserable until I grabbed the gigantic truck and put it in his lap, where is took up practically more room that he did.
I am happy to report this truck is made in Canada. L loves this truck. I'm really glad we got it and have no regrets. This doesn't mean I'm having on a plastic party, but maybe there is room for a little balance, especially since he won't be putting humungo-truck in his mouth. Now I'll start saving up for the toy I like, this awesome front end loader.
