Look what got done on Father's Day! Marc put up our beautiful bird houses on three different trees in the yard, and they look great. My pictures are not doing them justice.

I think it is going to be really interesting to watch to see if anyone moves in. Liam likes to watch the birds too.
Liam got some new books today, one of which is Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks from A to Z. I remember looking at these books as a child, and Liam loves this one in the way only a child obsessed with wheels could.
In other Liam behavior, he is enjoying telling me everything he does not want to do. No kisses, hugs, showers, naps, so on and so forth. It's a lot more fun than it sounds. I did find out that he did want to play "ring around the rosie" today, over and over again, but minus the all fall down part. If you were wondering, ring around the rosie is NOT about The Black Plague. So now I'm thinking I need to remember to show him London Bridge when Marc gets home tomorrow evening.
Liam got some big Lego type blocks this weekend which he is really enjoying, and inspired him to do a little building with his wood blocks as well. The cars and truck still take center stage, and Liam has a new friend. While we were pillow shopping, Liam came across an adorable stuffed bulldog and let us know we were not leaving without it. He loves his new dog, who also joins us for story time, nursing and is the lucky recipient of more "eskimo" kisses than I ever see.
Needles to say, I do not mean eskimo kiss in a derogatory fashion, and while I assume it is now considered politically incorrect, I don't care enough to find out the acceptable term.
