The most beautiful word in the world? Mama, coming from the lips of your sweet baby as he is pointing at you. It seems everyone's children have been saying mama & papa (or dada) for ages, but last night was what I felt was Liam's first mama. He was saying papa also, and pointing to Marc.
The night before last the new word was butt :)
Last night he was getting creative. I was folding laundry and he got a hold of the laundry basket and told us it was a car and bye!
So, as many of you know, Golde's ringworm culture came out negative, which came as a surprise to the vet, and to me. I took her back in for another culture. This one will be sent out and kept for four weeks instead of two. If she has it, we should know by 2 weeks, if she doesn't, we should be confirmed by four weeks. I stopped the anti-fungal topical two days before we got the results, because her ears were doing so much worse. I now have a new topical (antibiotic, steroid) and got an anti fungal shampoo. I have been applying the new topical, and have seen an improvement after only two applications. I am wondering if she perhaps had a reaction to the anti-fungal, which makes me no want to apply the shampoo at all. I plan on only apply the shampoo once we have a positive culture, and then doing a spot test on both cats before doing all over, just to be safe. Reviewing my handy dandy Merck veterinary manual, I am having reservations about the oral they will want to administer if she has a positive culture, so I'm still looking into that. Poor kitty. I am relieved we are at least seeing some improvement.
I have two days to get all the work done for our trip. So much to do!
