Today Liam and I baked some Banana Bread to take to our playdate tomorrow. Liam was a big help, and is telling me "more bread" as I type this, because he wants to keep cooking.

I uploaded some new pictures for August 2007. There are just a few, Liam's first finger painting experience, playing with a cat toy and washing some rocks.

I also added a couple of links to the Toy Sources page. We discovered there is a wooden toy train company here in Missouri, and the the other link is a toy company in Vermont. There were more toy recalls on the 21st and 22nd - lead paint & China, of course. These were some alphabet wooden trains and some tops and buckets (Curious George, Thomas the Train).

Toys made in China? Nope, not worth the worry. This pretty much means never going to Target. The have a bunch of neat wooden items, but they are all from China. I read an interesting article about this all being forgotten by Christmas time anyways. Americans love their cheap stuff, and their memory is short. Sadly, it is probably true. At least some American companies are getting some notice with all of these recalls. People should know there are alternatives. Oh, and if the TV isn't on, they tend not to ask for the cheap crap as much :)
