This is what I consider my first "big" project. I've looked at it and always turned away because it had many things I didn't know how to do yet. Finally, I decided to just dive in and try to learn as I went along. There are flaws... many, but I learned a ton while doing this, and for that it is a success.
This was going to be a little boy doll. I had a terrible time with the arm seam, but by the time I got the leg seams done, I had it down. My sewing the pieces together? i still don't have the hang of that. I had thought about making new arms and re-doing them, but by that time L noticed me sewing on legs and was very excited about this doll. He has named her Rebecca and is positive she is a girl. He likes her very much, I am happy to report.
