We went to a very cool farm this weekend to pick apples. The apples are delicious, and I plan to snack on them as long as possible. I also want to make some applesauce (I've been hyping it up to L), a pie, and would love some fried apples.

The area around the farm is beautiful. Hills, trees and farms. Dairy cows grazing on grass. The drive for us was all back roads. L spotted 5 tractors!

I couldn't resist picking up some of the preserves, Jalapeno Peach & Chunky Plum. We also grabbed some honey (can you have too much?). I've taste more different kinds of honey this year and cannot bear to go the supermarket route again.

Driving home I saw a sign for a Fall Bazaar and Quilt Auction happening in October. After seeing many Made in China quilts in various rustic & country stores this summer, this sounds like something I want to check out.

Edited to add, I'm up at this wee hour of the morning because I was too hungry to go to sleep. After a breakfast bar and a bowl of walnuts, I'm hoping I'll get a bit more sleep before everyone else is up.
