We both had fun, though it was over far too soon. L has _really_ enjoyed all the cards, stickers and surprises he has received in the mail for easter. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. We'll hide the eggs, surprise him with a basket and spend some time planting our sprouts (finally) and seeds in the veggie bed. We had a fun day today and the three of us went to the playground.

We've spent the past week getting our birth supplies ready. I finished 19 more baby wipes and am working on burp cloths now. I had knitted a few but have now decided a flannel/terry will work just as well and is faster, plus L had fun picking out the fabric. I've washed my starting pre-folds and need to wash all the clothes. I need to crochet a cord for a diaper soaker I made from a sweater and make another with the last sweater I have. I have no idea if these will fit, but it's easier to give it a try now and see than attempt to sew something once the baby is here.

We looked around for a dresser today with no luck. It's quite a challenge to find pine, ok looking and not costing a fortune. I'm getting tempted to just pay the ridiculous ikea shipping fee. Well, maybe not. What I'll do is clear out one of my drawers and house the baby clothes in there until we can figure out the dresser bit.

I'm skipping the whole ham/big dinner thing for tomorrow. It's just not worth the time or effort right now. We grabbed some hardwood charcoal and I'm defrosting a couple of the steaks we got this fall. I'll still make deviled eggs, of course.

L and I made our first trip to a local farm for some local milk, cream, eggs and a couple of chickens. We'll be getting milk weekly and it was a fun experience for us both. I'm excited that we're able to get even more within a half hour from us now.
