Monday marked F being 1 week old. It was also my first venture out of the house (as well as F's first car ride and outing). We all had a good time, although I was a little sore by the end of the day.
Most of the day was spent procuring things we realized we needed. The rest was fun.

F _loves_ the sling. I've been using a wrap (Moby), which I didn't have with L. I'm still getting the hang of it, but wonderfully, I am able to nurse and walk in it at the same time. This makes everything much easier. So the entire day F was either nursing or asleep. For the car ride there he was out and the same for the ride back, except for a small alert period where L made up little songs to sing to him. L let us know having F back there with him was better than having either of us. This really surprised me (and I wonder if it will last).
Marc and L went out to get an oil change today, along with more park time and various errands. I missed L terribly, but it was also pretty blissful to spend the day snuggled in bed with my newborn and not have to think about anything else. L was pretty lucky to have me to himself for the newborn stage, I now realize.
We're all feeling pretty lucky to be a family of four.
