It's that time of year again. Hot, crowded outdoor festivals in the streets of Chicago. Sometimes there are good food offerings, sometimes not.
Yesterday we went to the Belmont/Sheffield Music Festival. I primarily wanted to go to this one to hook up with my old friend Heidi, which we did. We watched/listened to The Von Bondies, who were pretty good, alot of fun to listen to. Afterward, we went to dinner at Platayo, and back to our apartment to subject Heidi to the infamous "Truth or Dare" tape. Unfortunately, my DVD quality is questionable, and needs to be re-done. I also got to sneak a peek on the tour bus, which was a new, and nifty experience - I kept thinking about the movie "Almost Famous".
Heidi is doing great, and looks fabulous. She's still as sweet and good-hearted as I remember her - it was great to see her again.
