We came up with a list of desired repairs with our realtor tonight. The builder has stated he will repair whatever we want, and I hope that is the case. We didn't choose all, just the most important. I filmed parts of our inspection, if you are interested, here it is....
Honestly, if there are things we need to fix, I don't view it as a big deal. Buying this house, we knew we'd be doing a lot of work anyways, including painting every room, new hardware, some new flooring. Those are the "fun" parts, of course - making the house look exactly like we want. There is also the fact that we are paying the lowest price compared to the other properties we saw, and would not be as happy in (at least), any of the other houses.
It's a hard, complicated, expensive decision buying a house. Being the first house, I don't even know if one ever gets the "perfect" house? One thing is for certain - this place has more potential than any other we've seen. That counts for something, I think (hope).
Argh. I'll be so glad when this is over :)
