Back home from the inspection frenzy (home, termite, septic, well). Septic and well - Good. Termites - Good. Home - ahh, that's another story.
I suspect (hope?) every new construction has it's issues, and either way, we have issues. Some are cosmetic, but maybe there's enough to make us a little nervous. The house itself appears solid, but there are some dubious handiwork with the siding and soffits. The light switches are installed upside down (fixable, but makes you wonder). On the more serious side, the plumbing vents into the attic, not outside the house, and the electrical panels have some questionable stuff going on.
I suspect I'll cover this further after I've gotten some sleep. Of course we are going to ask for everything corrected before closing (which means another trip down for me, to re-inspect). My real worry is, what about the components that cannot be inspected? In the walls, under the house, etc? *Sigh* I'm feeling a bit defeated at this point. Time to sleep.
