With just 2 weeks to go, we're trying to get in some of the places we'll miss when we're gone.
Last night we went to The Outpost, where we haven't been for year. It's a fairly nice restaurant, with amazing food. We both had the Rib-eye, and it was wonderful. Medium rare, served with fingerling potatoes and asparagus, topped with mushrooms and onion. We had a good, if a little sweet Chianti. For dessert, a creme brulee which made me realize what creme brulee should really be. I also had a Cappuccino with dessert. There nothing as nice as a Cappuccino after a good meal.
I hit the farmer's market today, and along with the normal corn and green beans, I got some cucumber, red onion and fresh dill. I made some creamy cucumber salad, which is chilling in the fridge, waiting to be eaten.
Dinner tonight - pan fired chicken, corn on the cob, & steamed green beans.
