The heat has been incredible. We've been running the AC non-stop. Wed is calling for 101 degrees. It's impossible for me to even think about mowing the lawn in this - and the morning is no improvement.
This past weekend garage sales - a little frustrating, 2 places I wanted to hit were either mapped out completely wrong, or the road construction provided a detour taking me so far out of the way, my directions no longer jived. I spent a little on a few clothes - 4 0-3month, snap at the crotch cotton "things", a couple of cotton blankets, etc. My best find was a Nursing Stool for $3! From the reviews, it sounds like the angle this stool provides is more beneficial than a flat stool/ottoman would provide.
Sunday the Doula came and talked to us about the birth, what to expect, and showed us a bunch of pain relieving positions/pressure points. The "under the balls of the feet" was especially cool, and is supposed to decrease the intensity of the contractions. I think it will really help to have her attending - many of her recommended positions are ones I'm practicing in yoga, so to have another who can remind me in the midst of the labor will really help.
I been developing some pubic bone "discomfort" - especially turning in the middle of the night/getting in & out of the car. I'm trying to keep in mind to move in the best position to prevent it, but over the past 2 days, I seem to be experiencing it more frequently. Now, discomfort isn't really too alarming, but I'm starting to worry about pubic bone separation, which can incredibly painful, from what I hear.
