We were planning on driving this vehicle until it died and then we learned about a fire risk in certain models, including ours. If it were only me in the vehicle, I might not be too concerned about this risk, but with the time it would take to get someone else and myself out, I can't take that risk.
This weekend we acquired a replacement vehicle.

Yikes! It's a mini-van. This is going to take some getting used to, and when I say that I mean, parking this thing in the city is going to be a challenge. It is very used, drives great and is, most importantly, safe. The more I think about it, the more I can find additional advantages, for example, I had to get into the back seat to get L into the car seat - once there is another car seat, how do I get them in? Once there is another car seat we also run out of room for the cats. I don't want to be in the position of needing to purchase a different vehicle while pregnant, as there are other things we'll need for number two, like a king size bed.
So that is the story of why we have a different vehicle.
I posted a bunch of pictures in May 2007, including a bunch from Sarah's visit. We had a great time, especially Liam and Sarah. It's nice to see them get along so well even though they haven't seen each other in many months.
