Graden Fresh Veggies

We got our first CSA share this week! We got lucky and got a chance to split a share with a friend. We took a trip to the farm to check it out and pick up our share. The place is New Roots and it is a farm in the city. The great thing about New Roots is they give much of their yield to a food bank and women's shelter.

For dinner we had Braised Sesame Pok Choi, Herbed Corn & Couscous and Salad Greens w/ Balsamic Vinaigrette (homemade). The greens, pok choi & chives in the couscous were from the share. This week we also got radishes, green onion, spinach, swiss chard, collard greens, leaf lettuce and fresh dill.

I wanted to add all the pics from Sarah's visit but haven't gotten them all done. I did add our farm visit to May 2007.

Edit to add:
Liam's appetite has really gotten bigger these past few weeks. I was happy to see him enjoying the Pok Choi and snap peas tonight. We always offer fruit because he loves it, and now he's really picking up on the cooked veggies.
