We took many pictures today, but I don't have space on the computer right now to put them. As soon as I can clear some space, they'll be uploaded.

We had a fantastic day. Creating a special birthday for a two year old was infinitely more enjoyable that having a dozen birthdays of my own. He is so easy to delight at this age and that is so much fun for us. I got up early to run out and get him balloons, which he loved. He not only adores all of his gifts - he loved getting Birthday cards. We read them quite a few times today. We sang Happy Birthday to him SO many times today.

We played a lot today, and he and I baked his birthday cake together. We had his favorite foods for dinner and cake and ice cream after. He hadn't had a nap today, which is the usual on the weekends. I expected an early bedtime, but the sugar kept him up and wild for longer than I expected. Extra stories and a shower helped that.
