This week I started what intends to be a weekly occurrence of baking bread. Even if it isn't as cost effective (although I think it may be, buying ingredients in bulk), it is no funky ingredients and makes the house smell incredible. I'm still trying out recipes and made two different kinds, four loaves in all this week.

Little did I know the first two loaves would be eaten in a mere 4 days. It usually takes us more than a week to get through a loaf of bread. When L lost interest in helping, he found he could make great roads for his cars on the table with a bunch of flour spread across.

This week we also put on some spooky music, mulled some cider and carved our pumpkins. We all had fun and L was able to describe perfectly how he wanted his pumpkin's face to look. He wanted nothing to do with scooping out the "ooey gooey" innards.

We have a ton of pumpkins seeds, all nicely roasted. This is L's first year to really sample them and he loves them. He has been so picky lately about foods, I really wasn't sure what he'd think of them.

Aunt Gail, thank you for the Halloween card. L loves it!
