Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July. Traditionally this holiday's meal consisted of grilling hamburgers & hot dogs, having potato salad, veggies & dip, baked beans, 7 layer bars and a cooler full of Faygo pop.

When I lived in Toledo, we could watch Fireworks from our backyard. The next morning our circle would be littered with used fireworks from the people shooting them of in their backyards.

Since we have been in Chicago, we don't go to see the fireworks - the crowd is much more than we want to deal with. I was expecting rain today, so I wasn't going to grill, but may change my mind about that. I'm planing for London broil, rice, and whatever veggies look good at the market.

With the long weekend all the things on my To-Do list are on hold, so I have been researching major appliances. Washer, Dryer, Refrigerator, etc. Thank goodness for Consumer Reports :)
