If you read Marc's blog you know his father passed Saturday. I hope he's in a better place, and I'm glad he was at home and did not suffer long. There's really nothing that can be said - for being a fact of life, death is always the hardest to handle.
On another note - we have put a bird feeder in our front yard, and man, have we had business! I think I need to buy stock in birdseed - since 10:00am, we've lost a quarter of it. I'm pretty happy about this - good for us, good for the kitties, and good for the birds. (And hopefully, bad for the horseflies!)
Water - We've gotten one of those dispensers - and it works good - I also got a carbon filter that attached to the kitchen sink faucet - for washing veggies. Until we get the unit to remove sulfur (which we'll rent right now), it looks like teeth-brushing will happen in the kitchen :)
The cats are happy to be home - lots of tearing through the house and purrs. They were exceptional this trip, my only complaint being Golde wanting to constantly be in my lap the ride home (she gets _so_ warm). That's a small complaint - it's really great they did so well.
Dinner - Fried chicken & coleslaw.
