The neighbor girl came around this evening selling 4-H cookbooks - I like to try to support them on their fundraising stuff, and heck, it was only $10. (And being 4-H, I was hoping they'd have some neat recipes).
Then I glanced through the cookbook. Out of many, many recipes, I'd probably try 2. The one that really made me pause was for Hot Crab Dip - It calls for 6 1/2 oz. of crab meat, or if you don't have any crab, use Seal legs.
Seal legs? I've never actually came across these at the grocer, and don't think I want to.
Scary stuff indeed.
* Note - Imitation crab meat is generally composed of Pollock and/or other processed fish, so that's not it.
There is a recipe for refrigerator pickles I may try.
