Friday was interesting. The chiropractor did the Webster technique, acupuncture (Bladder 67 & another spot for helping labor), and I've been taking Pulsatilla since then. Unfortunately, he has not turned. I'm going back tomorrow. (College try and all that).
We spoke with the Dr. Sat. and looked at my x-ray. He's just not in a good position for a vaginal birth. It would take a lot of specific things to happen in a specific way for it to be "ok". We are waiting till Wed. and then going in for a c-section (unless the particular Dr. we want cannot get us in Wed., then it may be a day or two later). At Wed. I'll be 41 weeks. This is to give me a couple more days to go into labor (although that certainly doesn't feel like it will happen). It would be nice if I could - it would be healthier for me and the baby.
The first hospital we "interviewed" was pretty horrible for us - in fact they even lied about a couple of things. The 2nd hospital was wonderful and encouraged much of what was in my birth plan. It didn't hurt to find out the nurse we talked to had a son delivered by my Dr. 27 years ago.
Now to just get it scheduled and ensure it can be done in a way that I can continue to strive for a home birth next time. Nowadays the "bikini cut" is common, however a horizontal cut is sometime used depending on the placement of the baby and placenta. I'm afraid a horizontal cut will make it quite difficult to have a VBAC. Hopefully this won't be an issue.
I've added a few more pics to Week 40.
